Following his triumph at the 2021 International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, the Paris-born Canadian-Chinese pianist Bruce Liu performs Chopin at a highly-anticipated recital at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in the French capital. With a programme carefully chosen to display the composer's many facets – from the brilliance of the early "La ci darem la mano" Variations and the Andante spianato et Grande polonaise brillante to the drama and lyrical beauty of the Second Sonata and Ballade No. 2 – Liu demonstrates the breadth of his virtuosity. The concert concludes with four encores demanded by the ecstatic audience, including two favourite pieces by Rameau.
