Piano Sonata No. 3 in B Minor, Op. 58

Rafał Blechacz Rafał Blechacz, an outstanding interpreter of Chopin's works, recognizes the composer's connection to his musical predecessors. His deep devotion to Chopin's oeuvre extends far beyond his victory at the 2005 Warsaw Chopin Competition.

The Polish piano virtuoso recently released a new album dedicated to Chopin's Piano Sonatas Nos. 2 and 3, as well as the Nocturne Op. 48 No. 2 and the Barcarolle Op. 60. Blechacz describes the experience: "It seems as if I had gathered numerous experiences before recording these compositions." In his interpretation of these technically demanding works, he demonstrates a freer approach to dynamic contrasts and emotional extremes. He draws on his extensive concert experience to incorporate both structure and shifting moods into his performance. The carefully selected pieces reflect his wide-ranging concert repertoire, which he has performed worldwide. His aim is to share the beauty of these compositions with his audience.
