The album "Schubert & Beethoven" contains live recordings of his recital program: Schubert's Impromptus Op. 90 and Piano Pieces D 946 were recorded in Warsaw, while Beethoven's imposing "Hammerklavier" Sonata Op. 106 was recorded in Salzburg in 2013. The program is complemented by Sokolov's virtuosic interpretations of encores from works by Rameau and Brahms.
