Korea's leading art complex, the Seoul Arts Center opened in 1988 and has played a pivotal role in the country's – and the broader region's – cultural life ever since. Among its buildings are a 2,523-seat concert hall, a 354-seat recital hall and, since 1993, the 2,305-seat Seoul Opera Theatre.
