Bruce Liu returns four years later to the scene of his triumph in the International Chopin Competition to join the multi award-winning Apollon Musagète Quartet for this chamber music concert, presented as part of the 21st International Chopin and his Europe Music Festival. On the programme are two undisputed masterpieces of the chamber music repertoire: Mozart's strikingly original Piano Quartet in G Minor, K. 478; and Schumann's Piano Quintet Op. 44, one of the many fruits of 1842, often referred to as his "Chamber Music Year". This concert concludes with Joseph Suk's rarely heard Meditation on the Old Czech Chorale "St. Wenceslas".
