Shchedrin: Hommage à Chopin

From the Munich Klaviersommer in 1983, Rodion Shchedrin is joined by the breathtaking line-up of Chick Corea, Nicolas Economou and Paul Gulda for a performance of his Hommage à Chopin – a set of witty, exploratory and highly imaginative variations based on Chopin's Prelude in C minor, Op. 28 No. 28, but playfully sprinkled with numerous references to his other works as well.
