Daniel Hope
Daniel Hope is taking the lead in organizing the celebrations for Yehudi Menuhin's 100th birthday. As a violinist, conductor, and composer, he bears a striking resemblance to Menuhin. For the album honoring Menuhin, he selected works he had studied with the master himself as a child. Besides famous pieces such as Vivaldi's Double Concerto in A minor and Bartók's Duos for Two Violins, the album also includes specially commissioned compositions by Takemitsu, Reich, and other composers. He is joined by excellent artists such as Daniel Lozakovitj and Simos Papanas, as well as other renowned musicians. Together, they pay tribute to Yehudi Menuhin and express their appreciation for his legacy.
