Album insights
After 25 years, the exceptional Polish pianist Krystian Zimerman has released a new solo album for Deutsche Grammophon. Taking on Schubert, he ventures into the heart of musical Romanticism with his recording of the late Schubert Sonatas D959 & D960, composed shortly before the maestro's untimely death at the age of 31. The recording took place at the Kashiwazaki City Performing Arts Centre in Japan. This album is expected to join the distinguished collection of remarkable Schubert recordings.
