Album insights

Giuliano Carmignola, a true star of the "Archiv Produktion" label, continues his mission to introduce new music to his large German fan base, based on authentic and original sources. Many of Vivaldi's violin concertos remain largely unknown today due to imprecise releases. The recent recordings of Vivaldi's Violin Concertos RV 187 and 281 are derived from Vivaldi's original manuscripts, showcasing the spontaneity and liveliness of the Italian master's composition art. Additionally, Concerto RV 283 includes a previously unreleased cadenza from the notebook of Vivaldi's protégée, Ann Maria. Carmignola is accompanied by the unique ensemble Accademia Bizantina, led by the Baroque specialist Ottavio Dantone.
