Mischa Maisky
The Verbier Festival Gold pays tribute to Mischa Maisky with a special album. The renowned cellist, who has performed at Verbier more often than any other artist since the festival's founding in 1994, appeared there for over three decades alongside friends and family members. Now, a collection of live recordings from various festival concerts is being released, impressively showcasing Maisky's exceptional interpretations of well-known works by Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Bruch, Grieg, Richard Strauss, and Rachmaninoff. His sensitive musicality, evident in his collaborations with artists such as Charles Dutoit, Martha Argerich, his daughter Lily, and his son Sascha, is particularly highlighted.
