Honeck conducts Grieg, Mozart & Beethoven – with Rudolf Buchbinder

Few pianists have mastered the piano repertoire as completely and with as much authority as Rudolf Buchbinder, who here brings his experience to bear on Mozart's dramatic 20th Piano Concerto, performed with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Manfred Honeck. Beginning the programme – filmed without an audience in Prague's Rudolfinum – are famous excerpts from Grieg's folk-inspired Peer Gynt Suites, while Beethoven's irresistibly buoyant First Symphony provides a rousing conclusion.
