Lisa Batiashvili's fifth recording for Deutsche Grammophon explores Sergei Prokofiev's vibrant musical world. Released on February 2, 2018, "Visions of Prokofiev" bridges the gap between popular and serious music from the early modern era. In this album, the acclaimed violinist performs Prokofiev's two violin concertos, now considered classics in the modern repertoire. Not only that, but Batiashvili also showcases excerpts from three popular ballets by the composer, arranged by her father, Tamás Batiashvili. This collection features intense violin music that is both modern and romantic. She is accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, under the baton of Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
