Daniel Hope On his new album, "Journey to Mozart," Daniel Hope presents classical Viennese music inspired by his personal experiences with Mozart.
Released on February 9, 2018, the album includes not only Mozart's compositions but also works by his contemporaries Gluck, Salomon, and Haydn. In collaboration with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, where Hope has served as music director since 2016, he presents a diverse program, including violin concertos by Haydn, Myslivecek, and Mozart, as well as a novel orchestral arrangement of the "Rondo alla turca." A concert featuring pieces from this collection will take place on January 10, 2018, at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, followed by a German tour in February. Hope says of Mozart: "His music conveys emotions in a unique way. It possesses an almost untouchable, otherworldly beauty. Despite the limitations of time, he composed the most wonderful music ever created."
